Decarbonising our Energy: The Role of Hydrogen in Net Zero - Virtual Conference
Event/Workshop
GB
Tuesday, 5 November 2024, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
What is this virtual conference about?
This Virtual Conference will update the built environment industries on the significant role hydrogen will play in the future energy mix. The increased use of hydrogen to decarbonise transport, plant and equipment in construction is becoming widely recognised. However, hydrogen can also play a vital strategic role in decarbonising the UK’s gas grid, as several pilot projects are demonstrating. Hydrogen can accelerate the decarbonisation of homes, commercial/public buildings and manufacturing. But significant challenges exist - such as adapting the gas distribution network to hydrogen ready pipelines and scaling up the availability of Green (zero carbon) Hydrogen across the UK. This conference will hear from experts on the potential for increased use of hydrogen, and the implications for our industry over the short, medium and longer term.
What will I learn?
