Main Block Region
COP29 : Financing the Transition to a Lower Carbon World - Virtual Conference
Event/Workshop
GB
Thursday, 14 November 2024, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
What is this conference about?
With the inception of
the CSRD in 2023, which starts to bite in 2025, climate finance has really come
of age. Any organisation that is looking for serious outward investment will
now need to consider its climate and other sustainability impacts more than
they have ever before. But this isn't a new thing: the TCFD and other reporting
mechanisms have been in place for some time, asking or mandating organisations
to disclose their climate impacts with a view to how those could affect the
financial standing of the organisation. This conference will delve into what
climate finance means for businesses, how to access it, what the burden of
reporting means and what the benefits are.
This is a live online
session. We will contact you with joining instructions at least 24 hours before
your session starts.
This session forms part of our new COP29 training guide – access the guide here for more COP29 training sessions, plus hand-picked carbon and climate change e-learning and resources.
