What is the course about?

The Supply Chain School is organising this webinar with several Scotland partners and stakeholders to examine low carbon solutions used in major urban regeneration projects – particularly in Glasgow, the host city for COP26

Our event includes the broad strategic vision and an update from Clyde Gateway, who are leading the regeneration of East Glasgow with over £1bn of public and private sector investment into housing, business space and leisure facilities.

We will examine some of the developing technologies being included in the infrastructure supporting regeneration schemes, as well as covering some of the innovations being used to ensure low carbon operation of buildings – such as Sewage Heat Recovery technologies used in District Heating Networks. Speakers include Scottish Water and their contractor FES.

Speakers will include:

  • Supply Chain School
  • Clyde Gateway – Low Carbon Energy Projects / D2Grids
  • Major Contractor(s)
  • Scottish Water / Scottish Water Horizons
  • FES Support Services
  • Construction Scotland Innovation Centre

Who is this course for?

This business bytes session will appeal to major contractors and materials and service suppliers throughout the supply chain, who are interested in the increased drive for a low carbon built environment, and the implications for their businesses. For example the impact on their choice of building materials, operational procedures and the wide-scale adoption of new technologies and innovations around energy efficiency and renewable energy.
