VIRTUAL: Wellbeing in the built environment business bytes
Event/Workshop
GB
Wednesday, 10 February 2021, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Hear from WGBC, UKGBC, Grosvenor, Airlite, and SI Partnership at the launch of School’s Wellbeing Special Interest Group report (WSIG).
This multi-partner initiative provided a forum for sharing insights, challenges and lessons relevant to addressing wellbeing in the built environment. The WSIG reflected that while a holistic understanding of wellbeing is emergent, it is not yet mainstream in the industry. More work is required to develop networked, proactive interventions across the value chain. The evidence for investing in wellbeing was already compelling; but the C-19 pandemic has amplified the mandate for action based on the interrelationship of building, public, and ecological health.
This session will invite perspectives from independent thought leaders, clients and suppliers in the built environment industry. Presentations will draw on the psychological and physiological impact of the built environment on wellbeing, and point to opportunities to implement practical, co-beneficial solutions for an equitable, healthy and resilient future.
