This conference will offer something for everyone from any organisation within the built environment. This is aimed at anyone who seeks a functional, flexible, healthy and sustainable built environment.

We will be revisiting four “transformation challenges” faced by our industry, which we originally addressed at our first FM conference in March 2020.

Areas we will explore:

  • Building practical measures to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals within our strategies
  • The challenges and opportunities of transitioning to net zero carbon
  • The relationship between workplace wellbeing and productivity
  • Adopting and adapting to social value based business models.

Agenda & Speakers:
  1. Transforming health & wellbeing in the built environment - Catriona Brady, Head of Better Places for People, World Green Building Council
  2. Placing "purpose" at the heart of strategy - Keith Chanter. Chief Executive Officer, EMCOR UK
  3. Building back with social value - Rory Murphy, Commercial Director, Vinci Facilities
  4. Saving our low carbon lockdown gains - James Cadman, Lead Consultant, SCSS
  5. Plenary: Managing in ambiguity - how do we plan for an uncertain future? - Shaun McCarthy OBE, Chair at SCSS & FM client organisations
As an industry, we've undergone dramatic changes both at home and at work.  However, evidence is developing that the sustainability agenda has not only fared well during this period, but also that it presents huge opportunities for us to come back stronger and better. For instance, can we “save the gains” made during lockdown in our push towards net zero carbon?

Industry experts from our FM partners and their client base will generate challenging dialogue and opportunities for you to have your say. We will also acknowledge and address the critical issue of managing uncertainty via a plenary Q&A session containing insights from FM clients and our speakers on the day.

We hope you can join us during this interactive virtual conference. If you have any questions, please email Sara
