VIRTUAL: Achieving Net Zero: how do we collaborate to get there?
There is increasing awareness and acceptance that we need to act more quickly and more decisively than we have been if we are to meet the many challenges that climate change poses.
We all need to play our part in moving to a low carbon economy, and soon, across everything we do.
Join us at this sector-wide virtual event on Climate Action to hear from a panel of speakers drawn from across the built environment sector, institutions and academia on what they see as current best practice and emerging new ideas on how we can drastically cut carbon emissions to be in line with Paris Climate Agreement targets.
Speakers:
- Jerry Tate, Partner, Tate Harmer Architects
- David Riley, Head of Carbon Neutrality, Anglian Water
- Michael Cross, Head of Partnerships and Innovation, Willmott Dixon
- Prof. Robert Gross,
Professor of Energy Policy and Technology, Imperial College London
- Alex Roberts, Senior Sustainability Consultant, Encredible
- Martin Baxter, Chief Policy Advisor, IEMA
Prof. Peter Head, Chief Executive, Ecological Sequestration Trust
Moderators:
- Martin Gettings, Group Head of Sustainability, Canary Wharf Group
- James Cadman, Lead Consultant, Action Sustainability
There will be a Q&A during which the audience can pose questions to the panellists and feed back on topics raised.

Following the webinar, we will be running a series of 1 hour workshops where you will have the opportunity to actively discuss how we can work together and faster on tackling the climate crisis. Pick and choose which workshop(s) you would like to join. Please note numbers are limited at these sessions.
Register for the session(s) you would like to attend here:
- Strategy: We know we need to act, but how do we chart a course to low carbon?
- Engagement: We can’t do this on our own; how do we get suppliers, clients and stakeholders to support us?
- Delivery: How can we reduce the carbon of our operations – embodied in the materials we use and waste we produce?
- Performance: We understand what to do, but how do we measure it?
