VIRTUAL: Support for organisations in identifying and supporting victims of Modern Slavery Business Bytes
Tuesday, 24 November 2020, 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Since the introduction of the Modern Slavery Act, the Supply Chain School and other key organisations have been raising awareness in relation to the issues of Modern Slavery and how it affects organisations. Whilst awareness is still not as high as it should be – what is even more interesting is the number of people who do not know what to do if they spot a victim and what a good grievance & remediation process should look like.
This event has been developed to allow you to hear from some of the support organisations who have been working at the coal face of victim support. You will also hear from partners who have in place programmes designed to support victims if they are found.
By the end of this session you will:
- Understand the current landscape in Modern Slavery
- Hear from support organisations who work everyday to identify and support victims of Modern Slavery
- Gain an insight into current best practice in relation to grievance and remediation programmes within organisations
- Have an opportunity to ask questions to experts in their field
