VIRTUAL: Phased Return in Scotland – information and learning for suppliers & sub-contractors


The Phased return to operations in Scotland began in late May and many sites have been re-opening during the summer as industry returns to work. The construction sector is now operating in a “new normal” environment and this session aims to share experiences, best-practice, challenges and practical solutions to maximise productivity and efficiency whilst protecting health and wellbeing of all staff.

The session will include input from stakeholders and prime contractors to reflect on the Phased reopening of the industry in Scotland, share successes and highlight any concerns as sites return to full capacity. During the hour long webinar we will:


  • Compare experiences / challenges of returning to operations
  • Share best practice – for example revised SOPs, facilities, testing
  • Inform suppliers and sub-contractors of ongoing expectations in terms of responsibilities, behaviours, site safety and wellbeing
  • Discuss suggestions for any specific support needed for supply chains to rebuild delivery capacity in the “new normal” operating environment
