What is the webinar about?

Air quality has become an important topic, especially in the wider built environment industry.  Protecting local air quality has significant health benefits and is driven by legislative requirements.

This webinar will give you the opportunity to understand topics including legislation, hazards, monitoring and practical applications.

National Highways Net Zero Strategy says that climate action supports its wider environmental ambitions. Taking fast action on emissions, managing our roadside verges and cutting construction waste are all part of this net zero plan. Air Quality is one area which can bring big benefits to National Highways environmental priorities alongside biodiversity and our ambitions on the circular economy. It supports the Environmental Strategy and our wider Sustainable Development Strategy.

The strategy highlights how air quality will improve with fossil free vehicles and the aim for construction plant to emit less nitrogen oxides and fine particulates. All of these objectives support the goals of the National Highways Air Quality Strategy. Find out more about this important area of focus looking at how improving air quality goes hand in hand in reducing carbon emissions.
