Offsite for Site Managers - Workshop
Event/Workshop
Online
Tuesday, 11 October 2022, 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM
Join us for this 3-hour workshop to explore what's different in offsite construction for the site manager. This interactive session will be delivered virtually online.
What is the course about?
Offsite construction can reduce the overall project delivery time but managing a project where much of the content is manufactured away from the site can bring new challenges to the site manager. This workshop explores some of the risks – but also some of the benefits – for the site manager.
By the end of this 3-hour session, you should be able to…
- Identify the different systems and products that make up 'Modern Methods of Construction' (MMC)
- Understand some of the benefits - and risks - of using solutions manufactured offsite
- Appreciate the offsite site manager's additional responsibilities
- Understand the factors you need to consider in planning your projects
You will hear from industry experts with real-world experience.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
This is an intermediate level workshop aimed at site managers and project managers who currently deliver 'traditional' construction but who wish to learn more about delivering MMC solutions.
What I can expect from a workshop?
Workshops are highly interactive, in-depth explorations of a topic in a group of 10-25 learners. Along with a presentation from the facilitators, they comprise dialogue and activities, with plenty of time for questions and discussion. Because of this, we ask that attendees are able to give their attention for the full duration of the session.
This workshop is free to join and spaces are limited, so please click the link to register.
