Embedding Carbon into Sustainable Procurement SDF & PDF - Workshop
What is the workshop about?
The vast majority of most organisation’s climate change impact lies in their supply chain. Procurement and supplier relationship management is the best lever to engage the supply chain on working with you to reduce carbon impacts.
This course, ideal for procurement and sustainability professionals, will explain ways of embedding carbon into your procurement processes so you can actively manage your carbon impact.
What will I achieve?
On completion of this workshop participants will:
- Understand how carbon can be embedded into the procurement process
- Have the understanding of how to evaluate carbon impacts
- Know what to ask suppliers for when it comes to carbon
This workshop will provide participants with:
- An understanding of how to assess where the biggest risks from carbon are
- An understanding of the key terms used in carbon measurement
- Practice in calculating carbon
- Ideas for where you can take action to reduce carbon impacts
- Examples of PQQ and ITT questions covering carbon
What level is the session and do I need any particular skills?
This is an intermediate level session, so assumes some knowledge of carbon and climate change, it is ideal for procurement professionals who want to take the next step in embedding sustainability within their processes.
What are the technical requirements?
You will need:
- Internet connection
- A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook)
- Earphones/headphones/speakers (preferable)
- A tablet/iPad/smart phone/iPhone to load facilitation tools
