Digital Innovations in Asset Maintenance - Virtual Conference
Event/Workshop
GB
Wednesday, 5 February 2025, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
What will this session cover?
Building management systems are not new, but the ability to use them to predict retrofit, maintenance and more is rapidly advancing - and so is the need to do so.
Data and digital stock management can help asset owners, designers and contractors understand the building they are working with. Painting a picture of the building, and its performance, digitally means that you can predict when and where needs to change.
The software that is being used to digital track stock and assets is rapidly advancing, and with the development of AI, this is something to be watched.
In retrofit, this looks like digitally monitoring a building's energy performance to see which parts of it, when and how are using most energy so that changes can be made. It could also mean monitoring parts of the buildings temperature, ventilation and more - to see where retrofit is needed. But the digital tracking doesn't stop in planning, it can then be used to monitor performance of certain measures. After a retrofit has taken place, monitoring can continue and the impact of those measures can be seen easily. This digital monitoring can mean continuous improvement to buildings.
In facilities management, it means that stock can be monitored and maintenance can be planned according to building performance.
Solutions are also now available that allow remote monitoring and assessment in hostile and hazardous environments, allowing those who manage these assets to take strategic decisions and intervene where necessary, saving time, money and risk.
This conference will help you to understand how digital monitoring is being used to plan and predict works, and how this can lead to saved money, time and energy.
