The Lower Thames Crossing is part of the biggest investment in the country’s road network for a generation and an essential component in the UK’s future transport infrastructure. It will boost local, regional and national economies while offering new connections, better journeys and fewer delays. Companies can find out more about this major project at https://nationalhighways.co.uk/our-roads/lower-thames-crossing/
This session forms part of a series of free training events being delivered by National Highways and the Supply Chain Sustainability School from April 2022 to March 2023. The aim is to provide existing, prospective and future suppliers with enhanced knowledge, skills and competencies on a range of sustainability issues. The training is funded by National Highways to build supply chain capacity and capability, particularly across the immediate and surrounding areas of the project’s route (north and south of the Thames estuary).
Integrating Social Value in the Supply Chain is an integral approach for National Highway to attain sustainable supply chains. This session provides National Highways' suppliers and contractors with foundational training for Social Value, National Highways' priorities and sneak peek into the measurement and reporting of Social Value. This will enable suppliers and contractors to understand the need to develop a clear and consistent approach to social value through the supply chain. What will I achieve?
