What is the session about?

By attending this session, it will explore the concept of 'net zero carbon' and investigate ways in which your organisation can achieve zero carbon emissions. We will explore carbon reduction strategies including carbon offsets and net zero. During this webinar, we will also look at what Science Based Targets (SBT's) are and why they are important.

What will I achieve?

During this session we will cover:

  • The basis for net zero: UK Climate Change Act, the Paris Climate Change Agreement, and the IPCC 1.5C report
  • What ‘net zero’ means
  • How your organisation can achieve net zero
  • How to report on your carbon reduction activities
  • Understand what Science Based Targets are and why they are important
  • Know how your organisation can commit to a Science Based Target, develop it and then submit it.

Who is this session suitable for?

This webinar is suitable for anyone working in, or looking to understand, net zero and science based targets.

What are the technical requirements?  

You will need:  

  • Internet connection 
  • A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook) 
  • Earphones/headphones/speakers (preferable) 
  • A tablet/iPad/smart phone/iPhone to load facilitation tools
