Race & Ethnicity: Challenging Racism - Webinar

Join us to understand more about race, the impact of institutional discrimination and how to challenge the people around you when needed.

What is the webinar about?

This webinar will provide a broader understanding of race and intercultural competence. We know that UK workplaces are less comfortable talking about race than they are about other diversity issues, such as age and gender. According to research by BITC, only 37% say their employers are comfortable talking about race in the workplace.

14% of the working age population are from an ethnic minority background and it's more than 40% in London, Birmingham, and Leicester but in the construction sector, in 2022, just 8.5% of construction sector employees are from ethnic minority backgrounds.

What will we cover?

This webinar will be an opportunity to understand more about race, the impact of institutional discrimination and how to challenge the people around you when needed. It will show how to be an ally for colleagues from minority ethnic backgrounds and how everyone can be part of creating an inclusive working culture.

This webinar will be delivered live online. We will contact you with joining instructions at least 24 hours before the webinar starts.
