Saving a Skip in Scotland - Lunch 'N' Learn
What is the session about?
On completion of this workshop participants will understand some of the most common ways to reduce skip waste on site and be able to articulate how resource efficiency and reducing site-based waste can help their business and customers. Participants will also gain practical insight into implementing waste reduction measures. The session will include details of projects in Scotland which have effectively reduced site waste, maximised resource efficiency and reuse sharing details of how this was achieved for Scotland suppliers.
What will I achieve?
In this session, you will gain:
- An understanding of the basic polymer types likely to be encountered
- A guide to the key aspects to consider in using plastics responsibly
- A basic understanding of the main aspects of the Plastic Packaging Tax and how to respond to its requirements
- An overview of future policy and legislative issues including Extended Producer Responsibility.

You may be sent reading materials or supporting documents prior to the workshop, so be sure to check your inbox so you are up to speed. These sessions have limited spaces, so before booking please ensure you can attend, and can meet the full attendance requirements.
Please arrive promptly and stay for the duration of the event. This means arriving no later than 10 minutes to the workshop and attending the full 2 hours. No recordings will be available of the live session.
To receive your CPD accreditation and for this to be tracked through your Supply Chain Sustainability School dashboard make sure your full name is reflected on your Zoom account when you join the session.
Please note, if you fail to meet the attendance requirements, unfortunately you will not be issued a CPD Certificate.
