A 1-hour webinar exploring retrofit in healthcare.

Venue

GB

Date & time

Wednesday, 16 October 2024, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

 What is the session about?

The healthcare sector occupies buildings across the UK such as care homes, hospitals and surgeries. These buildings all need to run efficiently; using less energy, and therefore less carbon and less cost.

Buildings across the UK need to be more efficient, not only to run better but to retain their value. Therefore, it is vital that businesses, funders and supply chains collaborate and share knowledge on the work to be done.

If you are involved in owning, maintaining a healthcare asset, or work in an organisation that runs a healthcare business, this session will help you understand what actions you can take.

Join us as we hear from those in the healthcare sector who have faced this, to understand what work they carried out, and the impact it had. We will discuss how this impacts value, and business, as well as the wellbeing of their clients.

You'll hear from:

  • Jon Hodgkins, RICS Registered Valuer and director in Christie & Co’s Care Valuation Services team.
  • Alice Lovatt, Environmental Sustainability Manager at Sanctuary

What will I achieve?

By the end of this session, you will:

  • Learn what actions are taken to ensure retrofit design can be implemented whilst incorporating diverse needs and regulations
  • Understand the recurring challenges that occur throughout the retrofit design, installation and operation process
  • Discover what needs to be done to overcome challenges
  • Hear about retrofit projects from across the country with real-life case studies

What are the technical requirements?

You will need:

  • Internet connection
  • A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook)
  • Earphones/headphones/speakers (preferable)
