What is the session about?

This webinar will provide you with an introduction to sustainable construction, its development and the place of sustainability in the different stages of construction. It will explore the social and environmental themes to be considered in the construction process, whilst looking at the place of the contract and industry assessment schemes. This workshop will also touch on the relationship with sustainable procurement and its role within construction. 

At the end of this workshop participants will:

• Understand how sustainability can be considered at different stages of construction
• Gain some insight into the social and environmental issues associated with construction
• Have an idea about sustainable procurement and how it can be embedded in the construction industry
