What is the webinar about?

This webinar will provide a short introduction to social value and explore how SCS Railways have developed their social value strategy, how they are measuring their impact, and what social value means to them. The webinar will include several case studies that demonstrate how SCS have delivered social value in the areas where they work and discuss some of the challenges, and how to overcome these, when implementing social value initiatives.

By the end of this webinar, you will :

Understand more about social value and why it matters
Gain insight into SCS Railways' Social Value Strategy based on PPN 06/20
Hear about how SCS are measuring their social value impact
Gain insight into the community engagement exercises adopted by SCS and how these can be used to identify social value priorities
Find out about SCS Railways' social value initiatives

What level is the session and do I need any particular skills?

This is a beginner level session, so assumes limited knowledge of the concept of social value and is aimed at all roles who have an impact on creating social value.

What are the technical requirements?

You will need:

An internet connection
A computer with a microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook)
Earphones/headphones/speakers (preferable)
A tablet/iPad/smartphone/iPhone to load facilitation tools

What are the attendance requirements?

Please arrive promptly and stay for the duration. This means arriving no later than 10 minutes to the session and attending the full hour.

To receive your CPD accreditation and for this to be tracked through your Supply Chain Sustainability School dashboard make sure your full name is reflected on your Zoom account when you join the session.

Please note, if you fail to meet the attendance requirements, unfortunately you will not be issued a CPD Certificate.

Can I invite a colleague?
