A 2 hour workshop looking at what it means to leave people inclusively whcih is being run for Scheme Delivery Framework suppliers at National Highways. This workshop will be run virtually, suitable for colleagues at all levels, who are interested in fostering inclusivity in their workplace.

What is this workshop about? 

This interactive workshop will provide a broader and deeper understanding of leading people inclusively. Looking at what it means to lead people, inclusively; the difference between leadership and management; how it feels to be excluded; understanding ourselves to understand others; recognising biases; techniques for developing personal skills; influencing your organisation's development. 

This workshop will be delivered live online. We will contact you with joining instructions at least 24 hours before the workshop starts. 

 What will I achieve?  

This workshop will provide participants with: 

 • An understanding of their individual leadership and team shadows and the impact of inclusive behaviour on staff and colleagues; 

• An understanding of the importance and legal considerations of diversity in relation to the Equality Act 2010; 

• An awareness of unconscious bias and the impact on listening, seeking out and taking account of the views of diverse people ; 

• An awareness of how their own behaviour can contribute to, or help to prevent, discrimination and harassment; 

• Skills to identify potential bias in the decisions they make


Who is this workshop suited for, and do I need any particular skills? 

This workshop is suitable for those who have an interest or understanding of inclusivity in the workplace who would like to gain more skills, knowledge and practical tools to implement at work.

What are the attendance requirements? 

You may be sent reading materials or supporting documents prior to the workshop, so be sure to check your inbox so you are up to speed. 

These sessions have limited spaces, so before booking please ensure you can attend, and can meet the full attendance requirements. 

Please arrive promptly and stay for the duration of the event. This means arriving no later than 10 minutes to the workshop and attending the full 2 hours. No recordings will be available of the live session. 

To receive your CPD accreditation and for this to be tracked through your Supply Chain Sustainability School dashboard make sure your full name is reflected on your Zoom account when you join the session.  

Please note, if you fail to meet the attendance requirements, unfortunately you will not be issued a CPD Certificate. 

Can I invite a colleague?
