What is the workshop about?
The transparency in supply chains requirement of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires businesses to consider their response to combatting modern slavery and take a responsible approach to their supply chain to ensure that slavery is not being used in the provision of their required goods and services.
What will I achieve?
- Understand the current landscape relating to Modern Slavery
- Have an overview of the current legislation
- Be able to articulate why good procurement and supply chain management is key to combatting global slavery in our supply chains
What level is the workshop and do I need any particular skills?
Individuals in organisations who have a basic understanding of the principles of Modern Slavery and are looking for a more practical insight into how procurement and supply chain management can be set up to combat the issues.
What are the technical requirements?
You will need:
An internet connection
A computer with a microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook)
Earphones/headphones/speakers (preferable)
A tablet/iPad/smartphone/iPhone to load facilitation tools
What level is the workshop and do I need any particular skills?
This is a beginner level webinar and is for anyone who wants to learn about how to combat modern slavery.What are the attendance requirements?
Please arrive promptly and stay for the duration. This means arriving no later than 10 minutes to the session and attending the full four hours.
To receive your CPD accreditation and for this to be tracked through your Supply Chain Sustainability School dashboard make sure your full name is reflected on your Zoom account when you join the session.
Please note, if you fail to meet the attendance requirements, unfortunately you will not be issued a CPD Certificate.
