Event/Workshop
GB
Tuesday, 5 November 2024, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
What is this session about?
Join expert Dr. Sarah Price, Passivhaus and AECB Certifier, and Technical Author of PAS 2035/2030, who will help us break down the question “What does good retrofit look like?” The narrative around the need for retrofit is growing, and becoming more widely accepted as an imperative for UK decarbonisation and improvement of living and working conditions.
This year’s programme has dived into many retrofit projects to showcase best practice, and will continue to do so. However, as retrofit work hopefully increases, how can we ensure the quality of the work completed? What does good retrofit look like? There are different standards to aim for, how can you meet them? What is realistic?
What will I achieve?
By attending this session, you will learn about:
- Explore the core elements of good retrofit
- Learn the Passivhaus Standard
- Understand the AECB Standard
- Hear what is required to meet these standards
- Grasp how the Passivhaus principles can be applied to any retrofit
What are the technical requirements?
You will need:
- Internet connection
- A computer with a microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook)
- Earphones/headphones/speakers (preferable)
A tablet/iPad/smartphone/iPhone to load facilitation tools
