What is the session about?

The homebuilding sector is making great strides to meet the government’s environmental objectives and has published its delivery plan for zero-carbon homes and sustainable places. This work cannot be done in isolation and the Future Homes Hub facilitates collaboration within the Homes sector to help meet upcoming sustainability challenges – the supply chain is an integral part of this process. Bringing together housebuilders, their supply chain, designers, financial services and government, the Hub helps the sector meet it by developing guidance and reports, acting as a forum for collaboration and developing industry-led proposals for policy.

This session will help enable you to learn more about the Hub, its programme of work so far and how this can support your business in meeting sustainability challenges, their response to upcoming legislation changes and how you can get involved. You will also hear from Hill Group on the developer’s needs of their suppliers and Daikin on the challenges and opportunities for the supply chain on the journey to net zero.

During an interactive Q&A discussion, you will have the opportunity to ask questions to our speakers about key upcoming changes for the industry and what you can do as a business in response.

This session is suitable for anyone who works in the homebuilding sector, from across the value chain, from a variety of job roles including procurement, commercial, technical and sustainability.
