What is the workshop about?
An interactive, drama-based workshop designed to inform and encourage inclusive recruitment. This session differs from other workshops as it involves experienced actors, used to display more inclusive practices through the different recruitment stages. With your help and interaction, the facilitator draws down on ideal behaviours to help improve your recruitment process. This session will get you thinking about the different scenarios and candidates put forward, allowing you to assess and interact throughout the course.
This workshop will be delivered live online. We will contact you with joining instructions at least 24 hours before the workshop starts.
What will we cover?
Don’t worry! At no point will delegates be asked to act! All we ask is that you attend the session with a willingness to learn and a growth mindset. The course forms part of the bigger journey to positively change the culture of the organisation to ensure it is sustainable.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this workshop you should be able to...
- Have an understanding of how an inclusive workforce benefits an organisation
- Recognise the importance of creating a good first impression and the implications of getting it wrong
- Gain an appreciation of the barriers potential candidates might face and understand what reasonable adjustments can be made
- Be better equipped to improve recruitment outcomes by ensuring that the documentation and selection processes are fair and inclusive
- Be aware of how our biases can inadvertently undermine the recruitment and selection process
- Have an awareness that inclusive recruitment is just one step towards an inclusive workforce, the existing workforce adopting a culture of inclusivity and acceptable behaviours is just as integral to achieve this.
What level is the workshop and do I need any particular skills?
This workshop is suitable for leaders. Management teams and anyone involved in any part of the recruitment process.
What are the technical requirements?
