What is this session about?

The explosion of digital investment in the construction industry means that there are more and more sources of information in digital formats. But does more digital information necessarily result in improved knowledge? Businesses typically operate multiple unconnected digital systems, with different file formats that lack interoperability. For these and other reasons, many business executives have little faith in their data, believing that “40% of enterprise data is either inaccurate, incomplete or unavailable”.

In this “Lunch ’n’ Learn” webinar, David Emery of the Supply Chain Sustainability School will be in conversation with Sarah Crawley of SymTerra to discuss the changing landscape of digital data in the construction industry. Previously, digital tools in this sector have been highly complex and have required high levels of training and skills to operate. Nowadays, though, the advent of simple apps for use by multiple stakeholders means that digital information has, in some respects, become ‘democratised’, resulting in many more ways of producing and receiving data.

Join David and Sarah as they discuss good practice and offer practical advice about ensuring your digital investment delivers the results your business needs.
