This an invite-only workshop for Jointline  & supply chain
Jointline is working with other clients, contractors and the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) to explain what FIR means, why it matters, how to achieve it and to encourage use of a FIR Toolkit.

Construction and infrastructure has a pipeline of works worth £600bn, and there are further significant works planned, including building new homes. As a result, there is an acute shortage of skilled workers available, at all tiers of industry supply chains.

We need to make our industry a more attractive place to work, so that we can better attract, train and retain the talent we need to deliver this pipeline of work. One way that we can do this is by cultivating a culture of Fairness, Inclusion and Respect (FIR) in our offices and on our sites. This will also boost productivity, innovation and financial returns.

By attending this workshop you will learn:

  • What FIR means
  • Why it matters
  • How to progress FIR within your own organisation

You will learn how to use the FIR Toolkit for the construction industry. These are free-to-access resources, part funded by CITB and distributed through The Supply Chain Sustainability School. The FIR Toolkit was created by partners including CECA, Network Rail, Highways England, Skanska, VINCI Construction, BAM Construct UK, Balfour Beatty and GRAHAM Construction.
