What is the session about?

This session will explore the concept of 'net zero carbon' and investigate ways in which your organisation can achieve zero carbon emissions. We will explore carbon reduction strategies including carbon offsets and net zero. During this webinar, we will also look at what Science Based Targets (SBT's) are and why they are important.

What will I achieve?

During this session we will cover:

  • The basis for net zero: UK Climate Change Act, the Paris Climate Change Agreement, and the IPCC 1.5C report
  • What ‘net zero’ means
  • How your organisation can achieve net zero
  • How to report on your carbon reduction activities
  • Understand what Science Based Targets are and why they are important
  • Know how your organisation can commit to a Science Based Target, develop it and then submit it.

What are the attendance requirements? 

You may be sent reading materials or supporting documents prior to the workshop, so be sure to check your inbox so you are up to speed. These sessions have limited spaces, so before booking please ensure you can attend, and can meet the full attendance requirements. 

Please arrive promptly and stay for the duration of the event. This means arriving no later than 10 minutes to the workshop and attending the full duration. No recordings will be available of the live session. 

To receive your CPD accreditation and for this to be tracked through your Supply Chain Sustainability School dashboard make sure your full name is reflected on your Zoom account when you join the session.  

Please note, if you fail to meet the attendance requirements, unfortunately you will not be issued a CPD Certificate.
