What is the course about?

This virtual workshop encourages the uptake of best-practice quantity surveying and cost consultancy in the offsite construction sector. The workshop will be facilitated by David Emery of the Supply Chain Sustainability School alongside our guest expert, Rob Littlewood, director of Cast Real Estate and Construction Consultancy, one of the U.K.’s most experienced practices in terms of offsite and Modern Methods of Construction (MMC).

By the end of this 3-hour session, you should be able to…

• Understand the information needed to inform the client strategy
• How to benchmark the costs of different systems
• How the client will fund offsite solutions
• The contractual implications of offsite
• The different systems available
• The application of offsite in different sectors

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

This is an intermediate workshop aimed at quantity surveyors and cost consultants, as well as those who are interested and want to gain a greater understanding of offsite quantity surveying and cost consultancy.

What I can expect from a workshop

Workshops are highly interactive, in-depth explorations of a topic in a group of 10-25 learners. Along with a presentation from the facilitators, they comprise dialogue and activities, with plenty of time for questions and discussion. Because of this, we ask that attendees are able to give their attention for the full duration of the session.
