What is the session about?

Climate change is the biggest issue of our times and our sector is one of the major contributors to carbon emissions. Reducing emissions and reaching net zero is a high priority challenge for the Homes sector and with the upcoming Future Homes Standard and changes to part L from 2025, and the Future Homes Hub’s Delivery Plan, there will be implications for everyone in the supply chain.

Join this session to hear from speakers from Bellway, Crest Nicholson and Reconomy on the supply chain’s role in decarbonising homes, and understand how you can make an impact as a business.

What will I achieve?

At this session you will:

  • Hear from housebuilders Bellway and Crest Nicholson on their key priorities around carbon reduction, how the sector can get ready to create zero carbon homes, and the key role of the supply chain in doing this
  • Understand the impact of the Future Homes Standard in the journey to reaching net zero in the housebuilding sector
  • Find out about Reconomy’s sustainability journey and learn how they have reduced carbon within their own business
  • Have the opportunity to take part in an interactive Q&A panel discussion with the speakers, to understand how you can start your journey to net zero carbon

What level is the Business Bytes and do I need any particular skills?

This session is suitable for anyone who works in the housebuilding sector, from across the value chain, from a variety of job roles including procurement, commercial, technical and sustainability.
