What is the course about?

This session is exclusively open to FIR Ambassadors.

You’ve recognised the importance of FIR; you’ve taken part in the ‘Becoming a FIR Ambassador’ workshop and as a result you’ve committed to becoming a FIR Ambassador. But what now? We want to support you on your FIR Ambassadors journey to enable you to become actively engaged in promoting a culture of FIR and the FIR Programme. Our FIR trainer will guide you through some practical steps to help you define the role of a FIR Ambassador within your organisation and show you how you can achieve the best outcomes and overcome barriers.

This session will be delivered online. We will contact you with joining instructions at least 24 hours before the workshop starts.

What will we cover?

This useful workshop will clarify potential next steps you can take to encourage your organisation to move further on their FIR journey and will signpost to lots of useful resources to help with that process. You will also have the chance to discuss key challenges with fellow FIR Ambassadors.

By the end of this session you will gain:

  • Straightforward activities and actions you can take in your business to further the FIR agenda
  • Understand how to run a FIR event on site or in your office
  • Learn how to publicise your role and clarify its boundaries
  • Gain tips on calling out inappropriate behaviours – how, and when to seek help
  • Useful case studies
  • Some quick wins to get ahead

What are the technical requirements?

You will need:

  • Internet connection
  • A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook)
  • Earphones/headphones/speakers (preferable)
  • A tablet/iPad/smart phone/iPhone to load facilitation tools
We look forward to seeing you there.
