What is the session about?
This session will explore the concept of 'net zero carbon' and investigate ways in which your organisation can achieve zero carbon emissions. We will explore carbon reduction strategies including carbon offsets and setting science based targets. Practical actions will be outlined, showing how individuals and organisations can work towards achieving net zero and how reporting works on carbon reduction activities.
What will I achieve?
During this session we will cover:
- The basis for net zero: UK Climate Change Act, the Paris Climate Change Agreement, and the IPCC 1.5C report
- What ‘net zero’ means
- How your organisation can achieve net zero
- How to report on your carbon reduction activities
What level is the session and do I need any particular skills?
This session is aimed at an intermediate level, and will assume you understand terms such as scopes 1, 2 and 3 and the basics of climate change and carbon reduction.
What can I expect from a Lunch 'n' Learn?

After I've finished this training, what learning should I do next?
