• Feasibility in practice: capital and operating costs, carbon savings versus gas, and the organisational considerations (planning, noise, landlord–tenant arrangements, disruption) that often determine whether a project succeeds
• A practical process for getting from initial interest to a well-designed, well-operated system — including what to look for in installers and what data you should be gathering
• Three real case studies covering a variety of projects

What level is the session and do I need any particular skills?

This is a beginner to intermediate level session aimed at building owners, operators, sustainability managers, facilities teams, finance leads and supply chain partners who want to understand whether and how heat pumps fit into their decarbonisation plans. No specialist engineering knowledge is required — the session is designed to be practical, plain-English and independent of any specific manufacturer or installer.
