Building Management Systems: Insights for Energy Retrofits- Webinar

What is this session about?
This one-hour webinar explores how Building Management Systems (BMS) can be used to capture, analyse, and interpret energy performance data before and after retrofit interventions such as insulation upgrades, glazing improvements, and HVAC optimization. Attendees will learn how baseline data establishes a clear starting point, how post-retrofit monitoring validates savings, and how continuous data streams can uncover further efficiency opportunities. Our expert guest speakers will share real-world case studies, practical challenges, and proven methods for translating raw BMS data into actionable insights.
This session is part of the retrofit programme; the programme is delivered by the School and sponsored by NatWest Group – You can learn more about this here
What Will I Learn?
Participants will gain a clear understanding of how to leverage BMS data to assess energy performance across the retrofit lifecycle. This includes how to establish reliable pre-retrofit baselines, identify key performance indicators, and compare expected versus actual savings after improvements are made. The session will also cover techniques for ongoing monitoring, fault detection, and optimization using BMS data, as well as best practices for communicating results to stakeholders and supporting compliance with energy performance standards.
Who should attend?
This webinar is suited to those interested in using data to impact retrofit and support efficiency in the process.
