Join us for this 3-hour workshop to understand the how to procure effectively for Offsite construction. This interactive session will be delivered virtually online.

What is the workshop about?

To achieve the Government's 2025 Construction Strategy, we need to increase the level of offsite construction. It is therefore important that those involved or associated with procurement have a good working knowledge of offsite procurement.

What will I achieve?

This workshop, hosted by experts from the Supply Chain Sustainability School and Akerlof, will give you an understanding of...

  • How to inform your clients strategies
  • When it is appropriate to use Offsite
  • How to assess the Offsite supply chain
  • How to contract with Offsite suppliers
  • Who should be appointed and when

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

This beginner workshop is perfect for procurers who want to understand more about offsite and MMC. It builds on the fundamentals of offsite, so if you would like to brush up on this we recommend completing the Offsite Fundamentals - Systems e-learning module available free through the School.

What can I expect from a workshop?

Workshops are interactive training with audience participation to give you a firmer understanding of how you can implement change in your business. They take around 2-3 hours with around 20 other participants.

You may be required to use variety of facilitation tools, such as Mentimeter, Jamboard and Mural which will help you and the trainer get real-time input. You will be given clear instructions on how to use these within the workshop.

What are the attendance requirements?
