What is the session about?

More customers than ever are concerned about the environmental impact of the products and services they buy. Businesses want to be honest with their customers about their green credentials, but it’s not always clear or easy to achieve. The Green Claims Code has been developed to ensure businesses’ environmental claims are genuinely green, protecting consumers from misleading claims and creating a fair level playing field for competition.

Join this 1 hour webinar with industry experts from Knauf Insulation and SIG plc outlining what greenwashing is and why it’s important, and exploring the Green Claims Code and CPPI, what these mean for business and customers, and the risks of not complying.

What will I achieve?

• Understand the concept of greenwashing and why it’s important
• Explore the Green Claims Code, what this means for businesses and why you should comply. Learn about the risks of not complying, with real life examples
• Find out more about the aim of the CCPI (Code for Construction Product Information) and the benefits of this to raise the standards in your business
• Hear case studies from a manufacturers and wholesalers point of view, with some examples of good practice  
• Understand how this links into EPD’s and product information
• Have an opportunity to ask your questions to industry experts from Knauf and SIG

What are the attendance requirements?

Please arrive promptly and stay for the duration of the event.

To receive your CPD accreditation and for this to be tracked through your Supply Chain Sustainability School dashboard make sure your full name is reflected on your Zoom account when you join the session.  

Please note, if you fail to meet the attendance requirements, unfortunately you will not be issued a CPD Certificate.

What are the technical requirements?

You will need:

• Internet connection
• A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook)
• Earphones/headphones/speakers (preferable)
• A tablet/iPad/smart phone/iPhone to load facilitation tools
